Lloyd Compton, CPA, CA, CBV

Lloyd began his career with MRSB Group in 1992 and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 1997. After spending three years managing a large portfolio of financial services clients for an international accounting firm in Barbados, he returned to MRSB in 2001 and became a partner in 2006. Lloyd brings insight and a global outlook to his role within the firm. In 2010, he received the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation, enabling him to provide expert valuation and advisory services to businesses, individuals and government. He provides business valuation services for purchase or sale, tax and succession planning, shareholder and matrimonial disputes and insurance and litigation support. He also assists clients in the preparation of financial statements and in tax planning and compliance. Lloyd frequently delivers workshops on business valuation, financing a business, and understanding financial statements. Lloyd is also a member of Collaborative Practice PEI, an effective, voluntary process utilizing the help of legal, family and financial professionals to resolve family disputes without court. Lloyd lives in Charlottetown with his wife Brenda and their three children.

Shaun MacIsaac, BBA, CPA, CA

Shaun founded MRSB Group in 1978 and under his guidance it has grown to be one of Prince Edward Island’s most respected and diverse service firms. With more than 30 years’ experience in accounting and auditing, Shaun helps clients in both the private and public sectors. His expertise includes negotiating and establishing financial structures with lenders and creditors, management consulting, strategic planning, succession planning and estate planning. It has been a lifelong aspiration of Shaun’s to help individuals and businesses achieve their     short-term and long-term financial goals. Shaun is an active member of his local community, serving as Chair of the Charlottetown Airport Authority, an Executive of Downtown Charlottetown Inc. and on the Holland College Foundation Board of Directors. As MRSB Group continues to expand its reach, Shaun recognizes the importance of developing service capabilities by encouraging a diversified skillset, including many specialists and strategic areas of service, within the firm. Terry Soloman, CPA, CA, TEP

Joining MRSB Group in 1990, Terry became a partner in 1996. He saw a need for specialized tax services in the region and completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Specialist Course the same year. Terry has over 20 years’ experience in public accounting and currently specializes in owner-managed tax issues, providing high net-worth clients with advice on business and personal tax structuring. He assists clients in succession planning, acting as a trusted advisor as they prepare to sell or pass on their business. Terry also represents many clients in their dealings with the Canada Revenue Agency, liaising on their behalf. He is a designated Trust and Estate Practitioner and a board member of the Atlantic branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Canada. Terry provides tax and financial planning workshops to branches of government, businesses and community organizations. He has served as a board member and President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Prince Edward Island.  A long-time supporter of local hockey, Terry is a board member and coach with the North River Minor Hockey Association. When not busy at the rink with his three children, Brooke, Sam and Elly, Terry enjoys spending time with them and his wife Sandra.
